LANGSTONE CUTTERS RC

A friendly club rowing traditional fixed-seat pulling boats in

Langstone and Chichester Harbours on England's south coast

Rowing is just about the best exercise you can get, using almost all of your muscles but without high impacts. We row on some of the loveliest waters in the world, teeming with wildlife, and it is enormous fun. The club welcomes rowers of all standards, from people who just like to get out on the water for fun to rowers who want to compete in local regattas and national events such as the Great River Race, where Langstone Cutters have a formidable record of success.

Club rowing on Sundays is open to all, starting about two hours before high tide. Just turn up at the slipway between  the Royal Oak and the Old Mill and tell the beachmaster you want to have a go!

Longer, excursion rows take place on Saturdays and mid-week. These are organised in advance, so if you fancy going get in touch with the organiser listed in our downloadable, printable, iCal compatible Rowing Diary, or one of the club contacts.

But the best way of keeping informed about club activities is by signing up for the forum. Click the setting for daily email updates to make sure you don't miss vital updates.

ROWING DIARY

We get out rowing whenever we can! Club rowing takes place on Sundays at high tide and is free for anyone to have a go. Please ask the Beachmaster. Mid week and Saturday excursions often go to local spots for refreshment such as Emsworth or Langstone harbour mouth. Look out for our 'tow rows' to other waters such as the Hamble.

WHERE WE ARE

Our boat park is between the Royal Oak pub and Langstone Mill, at the end of Langstone High Street. Please do not park in the High Street - ample parking is provided at the layby in Langstone Road and the public car park next to the Ship Inn.
